   Backbeard The Musical   is a rollicking show tells the tale of Backbeard, the hairiest pirate who ever lived, and his quest to answer the question "How should a pirate look?" When a rowdy birthday party ruins his clothes, a pair of persuasive tailors convince him to try a vibrant new outfit of patterned trousers, a colorful coat, and a pig. Now the fearsome pirate must face his greatest challenges: winning the acceptance of the Pirate Council, the townspeople, and even his own crew, in a high-spirited story of courage, acceptance, and standing up for who you are.

 This November Mr. Shankman returns to HERE with a new alt-rock musical called   Billy And The Killers .  Presented as part of the SubletSeries@HERE, this exciting new musical features book and lyrics by Jim Shankman, music by Peter Stopschinski, and direction by Craig George ( Heartless Bastard ).

 Co-created by actress  Betsy Moore  and her director Ilana Gustafson,   Freebird Goes to Mars   introduces audiences to Betty, aka “Freebird.” A recovered alcoholic, everymom from middle America, Betty makes a precarious living as a Walmart cashier and is an example of someone on the losing side of the economic divide in America today. Following the unexpected election of Donald Trump, Betty’s journey to the red planet helps illuminate the hopes and fears of America’s working poor.

 Comprised of five genre variant musicians, Sophia Howes (vocals), Raphael Santos (vocals), Eamon Rayhn (bass & keys), Ethan Fox (percussion) and Drew Azzinaro (guitar),  Lady Lush and the Vinyls (LLATV)  is a soulpop experience currently based in NYC.  The group represents a new wave of groovy singer-songwriter blues. Inspired by each other’s contrasting styles, LLATV strives to deliver and preserve human moments through jams, relatable to everyone’s experience.

 A Tony Award Nominee for her performance in Broadway’s hit comedy  Hand to God ,  Sarah Stiles  is a talented actress and singer. On Broadway, Ms. Stiles has appeared as Muriel in  On a Clear Day You Can See Forever  with Harry Connick Jr. and Jesse Mueller, popped her puppet sex cherry as Kate/Lucy in  Avenue Q , and took turns playing multiple eccentric children in  The 25th   Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee . Sarah received critical acclaim as Little Red Riding Hood in The Public Theater’s  Into the Woods , presented as part of its Shakespeare in the Park programming. In addition, she voices Lacey on Nick Jr.’s “Sunny Day” and Spider on Pasek and Paul’s “James and the Giant Peach” album. Sarah made a splash as Toni Luddy on Showtime’s “I’m Dying Up Here” and is in Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming feature  Unsane . She was recently seen as Gladys in the new hit series "Get Shorty"     on Epix.

As all of the Ziegfeld Girls have now passed away, the Ziegfeld Club’s mission remains to help women of today’s musical theatre.
